Format
Feature presentations are 60 minutes in length with 1-2 speakers.
Important Guidelines
Lecture Presentations are in-depth presentations on one topic relevant to the interest of the membership and should be organized to fall within the domains of practice for athletic training.
Feature Presentations must avoid any affiliation with a commercial product or service.
Speakers must be available for scheduling any time during the symposium.
Proposal selection is contingent upon approval by the PAATS Education Committee.
Topics will be selected based on the organization of the program, quality of content and speakers, and significance of the material to the PAATS membership.
Deadline
Proposals must be submitted no later than July 7, 2025.
Incomplete (e.g. missing speaker CV) and/or late proposals will NOT be accepted.
Format & Audience
This is a new proposal format in which we invite innovative presentation formats. The lead presenter (person proposing the topic) will submit a topic that should be a different format/structure than a typical lecture presentation.
OPEN FORMAT should provide the opportunity for participants to interact in group activities such as a skills demonstrations, discussion sessions, or audience participation response systems, etc.
For Open Format proposals, PAATS reserves the right to modify the presenter compensation based on the format and number of presenters.
Open Format proposals must fall within the domains of practice for athletic training.
Open Format proposals may or may not provide participatory hands-on activities.
Open Format proposals must avoid any affiliation with a commercial product or service.

This is a new proposal format in which we invite hands-on workshop formats. The lead presenter (person proposing the topic) will submit a topic that should reflect a lab in which attendees will learn new hands-on skills.
CLINICAL SKILLS should provide the opportunity for participants to interact in group activities such as skills demonstrations and movement sessions.
For Clinical Skills proposals, PAATS reserves the right to modify the presenter compensation based on the format and number of presenters.
Clinical Skills proposals must fall within the domains of practice for athletic training.
Clinical Skills proposals must provide participatory hands-on activities and should have a lecture component that is less than 20-25 minutes.
Clinical Skills proposals must avoid any affiliation with a commercial product or service.
